He's harder than many senior officers but he will be reined in by the SecDef. Many officers get to the rank of general (Or admiral) because they are paranoid; they kiss up to the boss and kick down any challenges from peers and subordinate officers. AKA "Kiss up Kick down."

No shit. Even back when I was in, there were too many who forgot that our missions in wartime always boiled down to either killing people and breaking things, or, like me, providing support for those who did.

I'd rather talk about my favorite Marine of all time Sergeant Carter from Gomer Pile USMC. Gomer was cool too, a bit goofy but he that boy could sing for real. Old Serg never did wipe that smile from Gomers face no matter how hard he tried and he tried.
