Hey guys, I have a new 2014 Tokai LS Reborn Old and the pickguard was not mounted. When I went to install it, there are gaps between the guard and the pickup rings, such that I am not thrilled with the fit and likely won't use that guard.

Can anyone tell me where I may be able to find a pickguard that would fit, possibly with some trimming?

Was thinking about getting a Gibson Historic guard, but I know they have changed the fitment around 2009 and not sure it would fit.

If you can I'd take your guard and compare it to other les pauls that you know you can get that size guard.
Maybe you hold it up to a newer standard and it has the same fitment issuse, then you could just get a new ones of those.

Who uses a pick guard on a flame top?

Sometimes yes :

other times not:

Maybe that gap is meant to be vintage correct like a real burst?

anyone know where to get undrilled pickguards?

Danelectro can make you a pickguard for LP in any way you want. He's done a few very high quality custom jobs for me (such as making a pickguard based on where the existing hole on the body is, and the distance between pickup rings on my old Greco).
