New SG Standard

Picked up a 2013 SG standard as a xmas present to myself. This is the nicest guitar i have ever played and it sounds amazing. The 57 classics are pure classic rock.

Great guitar, congrats. I also was fortunate to obtain a 2013 SG - the guitar wails!!! I love my Les Pauls, but there's something about an SG...cheers!

I wasn't a fan of SG's until recently when I saw a band called Monster Truck (check them out....killer old school rock band). The guitarist played a SG and his tone was awesome. Ever since then, I've had super bad GAS for a SG. Your guitar looks amazing and makes my GAS ache even more! Congrats!

I picked up one of these in white a week or so ago but I'm having trouble getting used to the fatter neck. I'm used to a Les Paul neck and this one feels pretty fat.

I thought these more recent/small pickguard SG's came with a thinner 60's neck....as opposed to the 'batwing' pickguard standards which had a fatter/50's neck.

I also got a 2013 Sg Standard in Natural burst for Christmas. I find the neck is not thick from front to back but I do find that it does have a lot more shoulder making is seem fat.I guess you would say its more "U"or "C" shaped then "V".

would you happen to know if it's a solid finish underneath the pick guard? That is, no visible channels for wire routing... so it can go sans pick guard?
