Ok, so all I have right now is 1 picture, sorry! But I got him this 2013 LP R9...from House of Guitars. Whoever recommended them THANK YOU, they were fantastic.

It arrived and from the moment he took it out of the box, he knew she was special! He LOVES IT.....I will get more pics when I can but didn't want to keep you all in suspense any longer, you have all been great and super helpful! Thanks so much!!!!

Your husband is the second luckiest man on this island earth!!! You'll have to forgive me if I think I'm numero uno in that regard, after my lady dropped this R9 beauty on me Valentine's Day 2012 . . .

And when this guitar arrived in my hot little hands and I opened box and case, I knew I was holding the second most special thing I'd ever held in my life---the lady who surprised me with it being the most special, then and now and always. Here's hoping your husband feels the same toward you every time he plays his beautiful R9.

I will stick around. I called today before I posted to get an "update" and it seems I have taken a back seat to his new lady love, he is always cannoodling with her these days lol. But if he is happy I am happy and when she is in his arms he is a happy man.

He bought a Strat a few years ago and when it arrived it was a pleasant surprise, I mean most of you hear obviously know you win some you lose some when it comes to personal sound you like and getting guitars through the mail. But this one was special, he knew it, wondered how he got so lucky as to end up with her. Well the feeling is mutual with this R9...

Here is a question I am curious about - STRINGS - is there a difference in sound depending on the string size you are using. He hs always been a 9-42 guy, but this came with 10-46's on it and is AMAZING!!!!!

Here is a question I am curious about - STRINGS - is there a difference in sound depending on the string size you are using. He hs always been a 9-42 guy, but this came with 10-46's on it and is AMAZING!!!!!

There can be, yeah. General consensus seems to be that the thicker your strings, the thicker your sound. Whether or not that's true or just rubbish I don't know, but what I do know is that I use thicker strings and they definitely sound different to when I used thinner ones.
