Yep... You people need more amps for sure, because 3 or 4 are not enough.

I have a Lead 12. Bought at a Pawn Shop around 10 years ago(?) for $125. Unfortunately, I thought it would be a great idea years ago to gut the SS and have a 5w hand wired tube amp built into the head. Little did I know then that Lead 12's would jump in value. (next to my 900 full stack)My smallest amp is a Marshall MG15MSII microstack. The successor to the Lead 12 microstack.
I plug the MG15 into one of my 4x12s and it's way more fun than it has any right to be. Honestly it sounds better than a lot of tones I've heard on some very popular recordings.
At the moment I only own fourteen amps in total.
I found the build thread if you are interested. 2009...pics are long gone but details are there.I love the idea of a Lead 12 tube amp. I have considered building one. But i'd make it in a fresh chassis that I can have made for about 50 bucks by the sheet metal shop that makes my Marshall restoration panels for me.
IIRC someone on here saw mine and asked me for the builder's contact info so he could have the same thing done but with a lot more options...pretty sure he got an FX loop.Has anyone modded a Lead 12 to have an FX loop
LOL "3 or 4"Yep... You people need more amps for sure, because 3 or 4 are not enough.![]()
