New Guitar! My first Les Paul, my first post!

Hi all,

Today I purchased my very first Gibson Les Paul!
It sits along side my Gibson SG Standard, and my Fender AM Telecaster

I've only played 10 mins, and I already know which is the superior guitar. This thing VIBRATES under my finger tips like I have never felt a guitar do before. Sounds very full, and feels awesome in my hands.

Specs: 2007 Gibson LP Classic Antique, in cherry burst. Only modifications I see made by previous owner (all tasteful imho!):
-Addition of chrome covers to the '57 pups
-Black TRC, and
-Pointer markers on the knobs

The exact same modifications I would have made to this guitar, go figure!

Thanks guys... I really love the binding on the headstock. I like a custom shop better, but hey, that's too rich for me!!!

Good choice!! I think that is the best looking Gibson personally. First one to really call out to me. Even though I promised to never buy another guitar after Slash Tobacco, that one may still have to become part of the stable......nice!!!!

I have the factory pickguard. I can't bear the thought of drilling into the wood. If there was another way of mounting it... hrmmm.... agh!!!

I had the same issue. There's no way I'm drilling into my '07 Standard to mount the pickguard

Why no "les paul model" on the headstock? it has always stumped me, it's on some but not all.
