Update:

Ive received my Epi!!! Well 2 days ago to be exact. The first day I had it I had just gotten back from England. I was in no mood to do anything but sleep.

The second day I spent my time unpacking and enjoying my guitar, GOD I love it, and it sounds great out of my Roland Cube 20X.

Today Ive finally gotten around to taking pictures and Ill be posting those shortly.

Ive also scraped the fretboard, oiled the fretboard, steel wool'd the frets and steel wool'd the neck. The whole damn thing was sticky as a hooker when it arrived, now its nice and slick. Im just waiting for the oil to dry before it hit it with some more oil and then string it up.

A setup is setting the action (Height of the strings off the fretboard) and the intonation (ensuring the string is the right length so the open note is the same as the 12th fret note)

To set your action you can 1, get a new nut to set the action near the tuning keys. But to set it yourself you can adjust it from the bridge. There are thumb screws under the bridge that allow you to raise or lower the bridge, thus raising or lowering the string.

To set your intonation you tune the open note, then fret the 12th fret and adjust the screw under that string on the bridge to adjust the length of the string, effecting the pitch. After your adjustment, retune the open note, then check the 12th fret again.

Thanks. I'm getting a Les Paul next week. Should I get it setup immediately? Or will it have already been setup, and I don't need to do a setup myself for a while?

Mine was setup fine. The intonation was barely off at all and the action was alright. Neck was dead straight.

I'd recommend playing it a bit and then getting it setup.

OK, Im slacking on getting pictures up. All I have right now are photos of the fretboard scrape and sanding the neck, and you can see the fretboard wood! Ive got the guitar packed away in the car and Im posting this before I take off. But you can see that its a sexy honeyburst! More pics to come when Ive got the guitar out again.
