he's pretty sweaty which would seem to indicate more live then studio.

...look how polished and reflective the frets are though....that I find interesting.

Because they sure don't arrive like that when you or I buy one.

Epi frets (imo) are their one shortcoming.

Like you I'm sure it is not a random Epiphone out of the box, but the very bright frets can easily be explained : look at the red light in the background...see the red ? He should have strong shadows on the face but he does not. His shirt should be red too but it is perfectly white.
Some photography reading easily leads to guess there is a very strong white light coming from the same area of the camera. Hence the very shiny frets : they reflect the light, just like his glasses.

He used this guitar in Oklahoma City, as well. On 4/8/14
Great show... I enjoyed the second half MUCH better... the Electric Half!

I see Andertons (Guildford UK) have changed their web site to say the JB Pelham Blue is not available, so it looks like they've presold all of their allocation. Glad I got my order in. Roll on end of July!
