I think that´s thats the most beautifull and most authentic real deal looking conversion i ever saw!!! Just awesome! Congrats!

7.4lbs fully loaded, and the bridge needed about 1.5mm off the bottom.
Wow what a weight! How does she sound? Some people say if a LP weights below 8.5 lbs it tends to sound more kinda like a flying V and not like a LP. My 55 conversion weights 7.9 lbs and it sounds like a real deal burst. So i dont think that rumor is true.

What a top! Given its state on arrival, I cannot fault you for redoing it (and really, the gold is least factor in my Goldtop love); a clear-coat would just be titties & beer! - but please, don't hog out that gorgeous wood for lesser p/ups; put some quality P-90s in it & let it sing like Ted & Les intended!

Can we get some more info on the history of it or how you find these old guitars ?

That can be most of the fun .

Great restoration , would have liked to see it and hear it with the p-90 clear, raw breakup.

They would have shown even more of the glorious maple top.

You must have balls to rout away some of that top.

But that is how you like them like the other standard custom you ,.......altered.
