I'm thinking of getting one for my Princeton Reverb somewhere down the road, so I could use it in larger venues.

Great work on this. One question, since you mentioned the fan is fairly noticeable would that sway you from buying this if you were going to use it 80% of the time as an attenuator? Does the clarity more than compensate you for the minimal noise? Is it like a loud PC tower fan?

As stated, it's avg pc fan noise. FOr home/studio play it's not a problem. I don't even notice it while playing. For recording, if your only close micing the speaker with a dynamic mic like a Shure, likely isn't an issue. If your using a good condenser mic, your going to pick it up imho. But, if it's a home studio, I think you could make a simple iso box for it if your using ultra sensitive condenser mics and the unleash is in the same room.

I've been using an Unleash with a Marshall 100W Superlead.

My amp has been modded with a master which I still use.

I use the unleash for the lead boost. It's working great in this capacity.

I'm looking forward to trying a delay in the effects loop.

It's makes the most sense with 18W and under amps (IMHO).
Well that's great for free speech, but if you've never tried the equipment then it's sound and fury signifying nothing, isn't it Professor know-it-all?

Many thanks to the OP for the patience and effort to record the clips and SPLs. It's one of the most enlightening reviews I've seen on a unit that people can't really seem to get their heads around. Good job.
