I guess this is a follow up to my other thread: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/backstage/303278-ace-frehley-track-upcoming-album-space-invader.html

I don't technically own this yet, but it's pretty easy to acquire if you know where to look. :naughty:

Sorry Ace, but Amazon won't be delivering my physical copy till tomorrow and I can't wait any longer (really you have no one to blame but whoever caused the delay) and last time I checked, Germany is a part of Europe. :hmm:

I'm only half way through listening to it and I already like it more than Anomaly. If you like Ace, you won't be disappointed by this record.

I've heard samples and I'm pretty psyched!

Its a good, honest classic rock album that both non-Kiss and Kiss fans will enjoy.

But I think the cover of The Joker is a bit shit. The best song is "what every girl wants".

Agreed! I was really looking forward to The Joker cover but it fell short of my expectations, Ace really should have made it his own. The only thing that really differentiates from the original version is Ace's obligatory solo in the middle! :thumb:

Still a great tune nonetheless. My favourite tracks so far have to be 'Change', 'Past the Milky Way' and 'Toys'. Starship is a great track too, a nice little homage to the Fractured Mirror quadrilogy. :)

That picture represents all three copies that were pressed.
I wonder if they pressed too much?

No offense to Ace or the OP, but I'm kinda feeling rats ass regarding a new Ace record.... He was the first player I saw with a Les Paul and I was floored but meh these days.
Now give me a new Black Crowes record with Marc Ford and I'm all in.

Got the CD and I'm really diggin it. Lots of good old fashioned rock n roll.

Most of it IMO sounds like a cross between 70s Aerosmith, the Sweet and of course 70s Kiss. Ace's vocals are still rough as guts & a lot of the lyrics are silly, but thats almost half the charm.

Great production too. The guitar tones sound amazing.

Oh yeah! Glad I got the digipak, two cool posters and the better logos (in my opinion) :thumb:

Excellent disc by Ace.

Best effort since his '78 solo album in my opinion.

Definitely! You got a favourite track?

I'd struggle to choose one but I'd have to say either 'Change', 'Inside the Vortex', 'Toys' or 'Past the Milky Way'.

There's a weird part after the solo in Past the Milky way when it sounds like the drums should stop, but they keep playing as Ace sings 'I'd sail past the milky way...'

It's at around 4:07 if you want to check it out, and maybe tell me what I'm hearing! :laugh2:

" I Wanna Hold You" & "Space Invader"...5 or 6 really strong tunes on this disc.

Good day to be an Ace fan for sure.

Great result :thumb:

Anyone who likes old school 70s hard rock should check it out. Great record.
