Another ngd for me this year (definitely the last for the next decades)! 2020 Gibson Hummingbird Rosewood. I always liked the Gibson Hummingbird, though I was not a huge fan of birds and butterflies on the pickguard (well, not since my third birthday anymore, to be precise)...the overall look absolutely speaks to me! Enjoy the pics!

To my untrained acoustic guitar ears: a lot like a D-28: loud and sweet at the very same time!

I love Gibson acoustics and I always will.

I've got a J-185.

There's something rich in the sound of them, and a natural compression when strummed hard.

I've had mine for almost 20 years, and it's just as sweet and powerful as on the day it was made.

Nice guitar. I've noticed the cases have improved.

Nice. I have a Gibson G45 Studio, which i LOVE. I have it tuned to open G right now. Made in USA, (Montana) fantastic hard shell case, all wood, for $999. Gibson is turning out some great stuff right now. .

The case is sturdy and huge....you could make an upright bass out of it!
Mine is the old black with blue plush.

That brown case is sweet!

Thanks pals.....what surprises me about this guitar: It is absolutely flawless. That’s something I never really expected from a Gibson. And I had quite a bunch over the last four decades!

Time went by and myself came into an age to find joy in hummingbirds and butterflies, so I could not walk by these fine handmade engraved pickguards from a greek luthier. Ordered two weeks ago and in my postbox today. Enjoy the power of pure craftsmanship!

I had a Dove in the early '70s, now I have a J-29. Love the rosewood body and 24.75" scale.
Belated NGD!
