New Ace Frehley signature Les Paul (BLUE)

Assuming that the next Ace guitar will be blue (will probably be trans blue flame top), would you rather the guitar be a blue burst silver sparkle or a trans blue flame top? I understand that many people will say neither. But that is not what I want to know; if you had to choose between the two, which would you prefer?

I like both alot, but I voted for the non sparkle because I think that the sparkle just has too many sparkles on it and I think the blueburst could have been done a bit better.

I wonder if the back plates on the flame top are creme and if the back plates on the sparkle are chrome (ditto for the jack plates).......anyone got pics?

I voted sparkle...I want a sparkle guitar, and this is one signature model I am willing to buy. Jsut because I buy new guitars only.

I dig the blue flame top and it only makes me further consider having my BFG redone in trans-blue.

I don't dig the sparkles, but agree with you about Ace's possible choice.

When it was first rumored earlier this year that there would be a new Ace sig guitar & it would be the blue sparkle I thought it most likely would be the wrong direction; I thought it was a bad idea b/c there are other Ace guitars that he is more known for that are more deserving. Not that I did not like the blue burst silver sparkle guitar. But when they shocked everyone with that dark transblue flame, I thought that was even worse. I can see Ace with the sparkle / glitter; it kind of goes with his style. The blue flame one will not even look as good as those pics unless a camera flash is on it. The coloring is not good at all. If they wanted to do a dark guitar, they should have done all black IMO, like his ~1979 LPC. But I would prefer to see a t-burst, then a solid black (not trans black), then maybe an aged c-burst (but the custom shop won't be doing any Ace guitars), and then maybe the blue sparkle one.....maybe even a copy of his first t-burst in its current condition: black double cut with a shaved heel & "ACE" inlayed on the head. But I don't think they should do a brand new color (especially trans blue) since Ace has never done anything with that one at all. At least he's been playing the sparkle guitar for a little while now.

Any info on when this thing is going on sale (or even when a final design will be settled on)? I didn't like the sparkle, but it's growing on me. If it's trans-blue, I'll definitely consider one.
