Since Back in Black, most of their albums have had one or two tunes that I can listen to and several that were quite forgettable. Black Ice and Rock or Bust sort of followed that same trend. Rock and Roll Train and Big Jack were alright and Rock or Bust (despite being totally overplayed) is a good AC/DC song for me. Sure, they no longer have the energy or insanity of their early years, but none of us do :thumb:

I was always thinking to myself , they have to have some extra tracks lying around with Mal. Only problem is these are usually scrapped ideas or songs not good enough to make a recording. Only time I ever heard GREAT extra material was some of Stevie Rays stuff......I believe The Sky is crying is ALL out takes and extra tracks. But that said I am very hopeful and will await AC/DC's last record with hope. Maybe its a collection of cool stuff......some Mal, maybe a track with Axel Rose , Slash? Could be very cool if they relax the tried and true formula for once.

Jeez, they toured without Bon, why not without Malcolm?

I imagine Malcolm would want them to continue as long as they were happy doing it.

They toured without Malcolm more than just at the end.

I am wondering if we are going to get a situation where. AXL does the Bon songs and Brian does the Brian songs?

For all we know they may be digging up old Bon lyrics for AXL to sing on the new songs, too.

m, I will SELL-OUT one day. I like that NOBODY has my ART. Several hundred have hand-made cds+Poetry chaps. I'm printing up some shirts. I MUST create ART or go into a "deep funk." I can't compromise. My bassist worries,

"What will Tim say?"

I always say yes , as long as the ART don't suffer.

Statue? I like this idea.

Devils advocate here, what if Malcom and angus sat down after he was diagnosed and just wrote a shit ton of songs together to carry on the flame after he was gone? It’s always a possibility.

I’m a Bon era AC/DC Guy, I loved Back in Black but for me it really ended with Bon. I always love the guitars though, they are the one constant that keeps grinding

I'm not much of a public performer. I'm a washed up former athlete. However, I still enjoy competing with other washed up athletes. I play beer league hockey and love it. Sometimes the 'crowds' watching our games number might exceed 20 (mostly our kids sitting up in the restaurant at the rink eating buffalo wings). Usually, we have exactly zero spectators. Several of my high school teammates were drafted and played in the NHL. Our HS games were always scouted and we got lots of coverage in the local press. We'd regularly play in front of crowds of 1,500 to 2,500. We were big fish in a small pond.

That said, it feels great to play and compete. With the leagues I play in, there is usually a playoff and final to crown a champ. It gets heated. Despite the fact that it is an entirely different platform, it is fun to compete and win.

I suspect that performing other skill sets is similar. I'd want to keep performing for the experience.

I think there is little doubt Angus could retire comfortably, let the machine make big $$$ off the brand for years to come.

If the guy wants to carry on, I don't see how anyone could argue against it. He has earned the right. He and the band are immortal.

Say what you want about them, and plenty has been said both good and bad - but the world doesn't seem quite right without AC/DC in it. I became a fan when High Voltage came out in 1976. My god that's 42 years ago people. 42 YEARS. The Bicentennial. Remember all that Spirit of '76 shit? Good lord where has my life gone? :run::run:

Wow TD, that’s a cool story man. I love passion, wether it’s a competitive drive to win, a drive to simply be better than yesterday, or to just get out and live, much respect man

I have always had a sound track going on in the back of my head. "Walk All Over You" was going through most of the car chase scenarios (real and imagined). Back in Black was the soundtrack for my first foray into love... I used to write fiction and losely based one of my short stories on Bon's passing.
