Im quiet new to the electric guitar and i have decided to change all the electronics of my Edwards Jimmy Page relic. CTS pots, switch craft jack and toggle switch.

After removing everything and looking into the cavities, I can clearly see that there are multiple distinct layers of wood, does this mean it is a multiply body? According to specs it should be a thin laminated flame maple top/ solid maple/ solid mahogany back with ivory binding. Especially in the pots cavity the conductive paint clearly shows multiple layers.

Can someone enlighten me.

Also if anyone has done such a job on and edwards, i would appreciate if you could share the size of pots/switch, tall or short:)

Those are just lines from where the router/CNC routed it in multiple depths. Nothing to worry.

+1 on what Ripthorn said. Those are multiple layers of wood they're just marks where they
changed the bit's depth to carve out the control cavity. From the pics, it's obviously a Mahogany
back, maple top with a flame veneer. Exactly as described.
