Need help identifying an early 70's SG

Hi,

I'm considering trading for this guitar - which the guy says is a 1971 SG Deluxe.
It's 100% original, serial number 963158, and pots dating to 1974 but I just can't seem any deluxe that looks like it from 1970-1972 - only later years.

Can it be a Gibson Standard instead?

Any help will be appreciated, and let me know if you need any additional info.

'70s. Prolly '75-'76. Best bet is to check the pot codes.

It's a Standard, not a Deluxe.

I mistaken the pots codes - they're 1974 (2 of them, one I can't read and one 1994).

So to me it appears to be a 1974-1975 Deluxe with 2 replacement pots.
Even though serial dates it to 1970-1972, I can't rely on that since Gibson pretty much stamped away without really any system at that time.
