I am looking to join the ranks of LP ownership.
A local Guitar Center has a 2004 Honeyburst Standard for sale for $1,650. It looks great and has very light wear on the front and back. The most noticeable blemishes are some light oxidation on the stop bar and the pickup covers.
It was too much of a zoo in there today with other customers to be able to plug it in and play it. I'm contemplating going back tomorrow during business hours when it is not so busy so I can hear what it sounds like.
The tag had a little "Repaired By" stamp with a guy's initials. I asked the sales guy what damage it had and he said they stamp the tag to show they've looked at it, made sure the pickup selector works, checked the intonation, etc.
I have not looked extensively but that seems like a pretty good price for a 2004. I thought I'd post and see what some of the veteran owners in here think.
Thanks in advance for sharing any thoughts you may have.
