Resonator FR 48. I got a nice price drop on a brass with chrome plating tri cone resonator guitar. This ain't a looky hear type of thread. More like what up with this crazy thing. I played only one in my life and I do not recall if I liked it or one thing about that moment. These things cost more than I expected for a beginner guitar. All metal seem to have a following as the wood ones do. Chrome is hard to photograph. Hard shell Fender case is with it.

:naughty:I think this is the back, any advice on what strings or keep it away from open fires. All thoughts are helpful and welcome.

I like it. I suck at slide, myself. :yesway:

Serial number:

KY - Kentucky?
021 - 21st day of the year?
2010 - year of manufacture?
9 - Factory code, batch#, color/style?

Or...

KY - Koria Yushuki model? (ok, sorry, not funny)
02 - February?
12 - 2012?
0109 - production number for that year?

If she gives you any hassle, just send her over here and we'll politely explain it to 'er. It's better to have others vouch for you in these types of situations than for you to try and vouch for yourself.

don't play in a spotlight __ as it's simply a mirror that won't be appreciated by certain members of the audience ( ? )

was just discussing the construction of these a couple of weeks ago , with MLP member " sliding_tom " . he might be able to give you some real advice , along with some of the other finger pickers here

still . spotlights .

Congrats, nice one. :thumb:

And don't worry, the loved One will get used to it.
I usually deal with this situation with a nice meal in a restaurant or (if you're up to it) with a home made meal & a good bottle... having previously cleaned the house and took care of the laundry, and not forgeting to wash the dishes after the meal and say things she want to hear for a while...:D

You might want to file those sharp edges. Then you might make it to a phone to call for help!

No guarantees on if you'll live though. LOL

Nice score! I hope you'll record some bits for us!

Say hello to the ladies! And Max!

Nice! That much chrome is going to be tough to hide from, well, anyone. :hmm:

I don't know squat about resonators, so I can't contribute more than that. :laugh2:

I think it's actually nickel on most reso's, cause they tarnish real nasty in like a good way. I don't know though, I don't owns one.

I thought of building one out of an old Epiphone and a Cadillac wheel cover but aluminum is probably not he best material for the resonator.

I do like the sound of a resonator guitar.

I gotta call you! I am getting another cell phone for my birthday. I have two locked in my desk. Lina will get it working. I give you a buzz before my teeth are knocked out.

That's true but this chrome over brass. The nickel gets weird and they get painted over.
