After the Race there will our local XFL game. Go Seattle, I don't know the name.
I remember watching that race with my Dad. Wen Greg hit the inside wall upside down we knew it was bad.I've watched hundreds and hundreds of Nascar, Indy and F1 races.
I remember bits and pieces, but the day Dale died I remember where I was, what time it was, what I was drinking and snacking on. I remember all the interviews. The sight of Dale Jr, Michael Waltrip.. Darrel Waltrip....I remember it all.
It was the saddest day of motorsports to me that I've ever experienced.
Greg Moore's death was a close second.
I forgot to mention one more thing: NASCAR going green.
It's just the most tone deaf initiative ever. People go to the races want to smell the fumes, hear the loud engines. They just don't want hybrids running around the track.
I'm all for NASCAR as an organization doing what they can to be energy conscious or environmentally responsible, yadda yadda. By why inflict this onto the sport? Do the people up in the owners booth have any idea what got them there?
