Got a new amp for Father’s Day...

I wanted one that would be a bit different than usual les Paul fare...

The Vox mini superbeetle is whacky fun with a les Paul...and with my lp recording, u can barely tell it’s a Lester...

anyhow, consider me a fan...this is my first and will not be my last vox...I reckon Christmas will see a full tube vox..

best $300 I’ve spent on an amp in memory...it’s so cool...the fact it looks like a giant rig but is tiny makes me love it

I've been eying those for a while. They have 'em in British Racing Green but I hesitate to pay $479 CAD for one.
I do love me some small amps, though.

I wanted a dsl 5w country & western but the reverb Store I bought itfrom said they couldn’t find lol

the orange micro is cool too...though It’s not as perfectly matched as this...

this one is a whole new level of whacky fun
it looks so similar to the actual beatles stack used in their early days...

‘the British racing green is awesome..just awesome
Amazon has them but I don’t know how that works with Canadian purchases...

i paid $309 shipped and have nothing but great things to say...
the headphone tone is excellent as well..on par with orange cab sim imho

I have a Vox AC4 1x12 and that thing is pretty badass. You get that really good AC tone at bedroom levels. Takes pedals beautifully.

The bars are hysterical....
The original ones were used to bracket and brace the giant amps while rolling them around on stages…

The fact they put them on this little amp makes me laugh every time I see it...

I was watching the video. Do the rubber feet on the amp head squeeze into the bars so it fits snug on top?

The head would be a good match with the VOX Night Train 112 cab I have (perhaps on its end), and at 16 ohms, it reduces the Beetle to 12.5W.

I've an urge to buy either the DSL1CR combo or the Origin 5W combo. The Origin is $100 cheaper.

yessssss

So fun and I think they only sell it as a pair unlike the orange micro / 10 inch cab…
but u can amp either or both cabs I suppose...

i’m really kind of shocked because this thing sounds like a true tub…
I know it’s technically a “nutube“ in a chip but wow it’s fun…
It sounds so similar to a tube…

I don’t use pedals at all but I’m finding that humbucker‘tend to a lot better With this one…
Especially three pup models for some reason…
The middle pup is really acknowledged well with this Vox…
I don’t know why but it’s totally much more available then on my other amps…
Really weird [and cool] for such a small rig…

The lp recording is a little low to get the sound I like which is Les Paul through and through…but so effing cool

Can’t wait to get the 496/500 models down tomorrow and see how much she screams with super high output ceramics… Which are my favorite pickups

My wife’s going to kill me because I’m only supposed to have 2 Guitars max in our bedroom at ay given time...
ive got 6 or 7 right now LOL

I have 1 big ass Marshall 112 and my Squier bass in my living room, and all the rest of it is stacked along a 20' wall in my bedroom. Good thing I live alone :laugh2:

Have you ever played one of these? Les liked to use low impedance single coils and it worked for his sound, but I found that they sounded really thin and sharp, and forget about overdrive!

you think Gibson is going to let Fender monopolize the market? Look at some of the 'hawk series, crooked 'buckers.... #alittlethrowupinmymouth
Regardless of who does it, what's the point/story/purpose behind the crooked pups?
