I've owned several mid/low watt amps. Blues Jr (owned several, and still have 1) Deluxe reverbs for some mid level amps, plus quite a few handwired builds from Dr Z, Two Rock, Victoria and others. All others, save for the Two Rock, disappoint in gig settings for me, and the tone I'm looking for. I guess what I've wanted typically isn't very easily obtainable. I'm always trying for 6L6 tone but with a little less volume or weight to carry.

I recently picked up a Vintage Sound V20 and have done around 5 gigs with it. I ran it around at around 7 during several outdoors gigs, and had plenty of headroom and clear crisp tone. I honestly can't say enough good about the V20. Reverb is solid as is the Tremolo. I hadn't even heard of this builder, but so glad I stumbled across this amp used. It's sort of based on a Princeton but with a 12" speaker, but compared to Fender's current Princeton offering, this seriously kills.

A few pics for reference.

Congrats on finding one used. Re-sale values on these are bad.

Side note: you'll get a better sound out of that 57 on-axis.

You mean flat on the floor? Yeah, when I gig it is. Just sitting on the stand in my music room.

hard to gauge what the resale is around these parts. I don't have too much into it and likely not moving it anyway. For the cost of it, I certainly can't replace it.
