NAD: Fender Super Reverb Tonemaster

Horay! I finally got the amp I wanted in the first place. But now I have a Deuxe Reverb Tonemaster with an Eminence GB128 and a Super Reverb.

I don’t usually have more than one main amp at a time which I have come to find really is quite boring. 2 decent amps I think are needed for most people to just play through something different when needed.

The 4x10 with the Jensen Alnico speakers is my favourite sound of all time. I can’t carry anything over 15kg/30 Pounds without causing a heap of neck pain and a migraine so the Tonemaster with power scaling is perfect.

I just use a Rat pedal or high quality clone pedal into the front and it is magic.

I almost bought one of those. Then I found a real deal 68 in excellent condition for less, so that’s where I went. The weight of the TM is awesome. HNTMSRD!

Weight of amps and other related gear is a big issue with me. Over ten years ago, I sold all my heavy combo amps. And heavy PA speakers, and heavy powered mixers, and heavy guitar cabs. Now all my components weigh under 30 lbs.each. In some cases much less. About 13 years ago, I went to the last gig I have had, and the bed of my Ford pickup was full! Can’t do that anymore.

I was just curious after his NAD with the deluxe. I know rich is in the imaginary land.

Haha all good guys. I will definitely be keeping the Deluxe as it has the Blonde Firmware and the Greenback style speaker, makes it a very punchy amp and perfect to alternate between that and the Super Reverb.

Main point I enjoy with these is getting away from the 2xEL84 15 watt amp compression. The Tiny Terror and all the amps that followed were the only things I could carry and really they all had a similar tone once at band volumes.

Very cool, I've not been able to find one to try.
I have the tonemaster twin reverb blackface and it's a great amp.
And I'm strictly a home player.
