In the early 70s Gibson produced a Goldtop Les Paul Signature model with a 335-ish type body. Apparently it had Les's low impedencde recording pickups (changed here?)

Ive never seen anything like this guitar pictured. Can anybody identify it?

Just looks like a Signature that had been tinkered with not a different model, you can still see the holes for the other controls, Gibson didn't leave empty holes in factory guitars, if it wasn't getting installed it didn't get drilled out.

Look at the shape, its not a 335 shape. And yes, i think the pups are changed and the control -clearly- meddled with.

Nope just a LP Signature, they weren't 335 shaped, above is a 1973 example.

Notts1965,

First of all, welcome to MyLesPaul!
I love these photos of your guitar. That is an awesome score.
But please stop resurrecting these Les Paul Signature threads. Make a dedicated NGD thread over in the "other Gibsons" forum.
