I just picked bio this beautiful Greco Les Paul for $1000 on Kijiji and there is no serial number on it anywhere.

I'm thinking this is part of their Mint Collection, possibly an EG-59. Some guys on another forum have suggested it might be made in the late 80s by Tokai.

Thoughts?

Very nice plaintop! It would be at most an EG59-70.

Can you show us the serial back of the pickups, front pickup cavity, color of the electronics cavity covers, and electronics cavities? That would help us.

Thanks! I just changed the strings so I can't take the pickups off but the cavity covers on the back are black and here is a pic of the electronics:

That cavity does look like a Tokai one to me. @brokentoeswalker will know for sure as he has a lot of Tokais.

It is a beautiful top!

That cavity is almost identical in routing to my Tokai. FWIW it appears the wiring has been modified.

Open O Greco, no fret nibs, most likely has a long neck tenon. Modified electrics, most likely did/does have Screamin 82 pickups.
