Give the guy a break...he used a term that is widely used but happens to be inaccurate.

Not much to go on with those pics though.

I wasn´t being snarky. I was curious as to why this guitar would be considered "lawsuit" or not. Pics of the tenon and electronics with no image of the headstock...well...it is not enough. If now "lawsuit guitar" means "copy of a Gibson guitar sporting an open book headstock", then my old Ibanez SG is also a "lawsuit guitar".

Most people who aren't supernerds for this stuff like us use the "lawsuit guitar" term to mean exactly that.

Ok, thanks. Wow, I guess I learned something new! For the record, my original question was only meant to know why this particular guitar was deemed "lawsuit" by its owner. NOTHING MORE THAN THAT.

Please stop posting crap so people here can actually answer my question. Thanks

There's also plenty of pictures of the guitar itself if you simply click back on page 1 and 2...as far as I'm concerned you're just cluttering up the thread here man.

Well, it says Gibson on the headstock, but it isn't one maybe? And it's supposedly from the 70's....:hmm:

Was this thread merged? if so it was a bit clumsy as the lawsuit b*llocks is out of context.

Here's all your pics in one place to make life easier. Do you have clearer shots of the headstock back and front, plenty of the makers had their own take on the open book headstock shape, especially how pointed the moustache is . Also does it have the allen key truss rod or a hex nut to adjust it. Usually the cheaper models especially 70's had the allen key style. The bridge posts are a good indication of quality , slotted ones usually cheaper where posts straight into the wood usually better quality models.

You've be flogging this question for 2 months.

He asked his question BEFORE this thread was merged with the other thread you started in July.
(So its likely he didn't see any other pictures)

Look at the bottom of post# 60 (Your post)

I´ll be leaving your thread, man... When I posted first, it was previous to the merge of your threads. I couldn´t care less you had posted pics before. I posted because in the thread you HAD NOT posted your headstock pics, and for the record:

YOU ARE USING "LAWSUIT" WRONGLY.
