Forgot to ask.. Where are you playing?

A friend of mine has a carport thingy at his house kinda out in the country, I'll send you a link to the event over facebook. I'm also doing lead vocals on a couple songs for the main band (Soulanum)

Also the page says its $6, but it's free.

You have the metal clamp pads directly on the fingerboard??

Why??

If it were me, I would have used a wood shim between all of the clamp pads and neck/ fingerboard.

Looks good. I would have used leather or something to protect the fingerboard. Just be careful not to scratch it. Nice work Kezia!

Hmmm... Well, I sure hope it all works out for you. Being that this is your "#1" guitar, if it were me - with no prior experience - I would've ponied up the cash and paid a pro to do it right rather than take a chance.

If it were something less than a "#1", then by all means, go ahead and try to learn something.

But I guess this advice is coming just a bit too late.

Again, hope it all works out for you. Oh, and by the way - you have bigger stones than I do.

Yeah, it's that one. Might have to slap the EMG in another guitar for a few days til this one's back up.

I called Guitar Sinner to get a price quote for a repair...

$200?!

**** that, I'll see what I can do myself

The fretboard is lifted off too >.>
Well I hope you fix it . That guitar looked like a true road warrior . I wish my guitar will be next to share the spotlight *sighs . Anyway headstock breaks happens to alot of guitarists , but it always has a happy ending , right ?

I saw the video on YouTube. Sorry for your luck. It looks like a genuine glue failure at the scarf joint and the fretboard as if the glue was very minimally applied. The break is clean and because of that, I might be inclined to attempt the repair myself. Someone posted pretty good methods to fix this here on the forum, I think all you need to do is add the fix to the fretboard as well. Good luck with this.

Is it a warp in the fretboard? Can you clamp it a little tighter? If it creates buzz, a truss rod adjustment may be in order.

Oh, and a nut can be had for cheap. It'll be a good upgrade anyway.

The cup is half full...not half empty my friend!
