Awesomeness! I'm just a few days shy of getting mine. Your tone report doesn't ease the wait time ;) Anticipation's killing me!

What I was after with this guitar tone wise was very simple. I wanted full-on Beano on the bridge pickup, and Peter Green on the neck/ middle. So both the ECPs and the Sheptones came with a conventionally wired bridge and 4-conductor neck. Steve put a push/pull pot for the neck.

I told both winders what I was after, and both sets sound AMAZING. Last year, I was lucky enough to score 2 sets of vintage PAFs, and I figured out some of the magic of old PAFs. The real ones sound fat, but still with an almost single-coily tone. Both the ECPs and Sheptones sound really authentic to my ears. And yes, Hideaway and the Supernatural sound killer. :)

Pretty old thread, if it is still for sale I would be surprised. Nice though, very nice.

Still for sale, Nick. Actually, I've sold it 3 times. But strangely enough, the payment never seems to arrive...

This might be a record. I've now "sold" this guitar for the 4th time, but never received payment.

Still available!

You're doing it all wrong! You're better off selling it 4 times and receiving payment for it all 4 times, and then go into hiding! That way you get to keep the guitar! :naughty:  :thumb:
