Does that mean yours is a plain top?
Mine is a flamboyant flaming… you get the gist.

I had a 3 pickup Les Paul but the middle pickup didn't really offer any tones I wanted and was in my way. I found the same with my 3 pickup SG.

I would say though that any guitar that has a pickup selector with more than 2 choices would be non binary.

Both of those guitars are awesome...if they were mine I would try to adapt..... no matter what their gender affiliations are.

Lol. I tried to love them. Combined I made about $1700 profit by selling them and there are a lot of guitars I love.

The LP had two strikes. The 3 pickups and that I was used to a thinner body shape after getting into SGs.

The SG had three strikes. The 3 pickups, the neck profile and the stupid rotary switch.

I have always given my guitars female names and referred to them as her. Some people have taken offense to this here at MLP, but I think a lot of us here at MLP refer to a guitar in a female sense, because a lot are just plain beautiful/or gorgeous guitars.

To each his/or her own, name your guitars however you wish, it's yours.

I do try not to refer to other people's guitars in the sense like "Wow, she is beautiful. " and just leave it as "Wow, that is a beautiful guitar." I guess that might not be correct either, since it could be a handsome guitar in that person's mind and not beautiful. :dunno:

Mine are absolutely, unequivocally, irrevocably, sublimely female. I name them after Bond Girls.

Left to right, top to bottom: Monica Bellucci--Spectre, Claudine Auger--Thunderball, Ursula Andress--Dr. No, Eva Green--Casino Royale, Caroline Munro--The Spy Who Loved Me, and Maud Adams--The Man with the Golden Gun / Octopussy. Juvenile? Perhaps, but if so, then gloriously so! :naughty:

Oh, Lord.
Pickup Reassignment Surgery.

I don’t care how well it’s done, or how well-hidden the scars are, it’s just not right.

We all know what a Les Paul is supposed to be, and that ain’t it!

I understand, 60 years ago was a different time and there just weren’t many Les Pauls around, but it’s still not cool to route a Goldtop with P-90s for a humbucker.

I mean, you can do the surgery again and try to fix it, but it will never be right.
You might fool some people, but anybody who really knows what it’s like to touch and feel a real Les Paul will know something about it ain’t right.
Even in the dark.

Unless they are really drunk - or desperate.
