I had a nice LP years ago. Literally played it to death.....I really missed that guitar and while I could have easily bought another as professional Luthier I figured I would be just as well off building my own. So here it is. The body is African Mahogany with a Hard Maple cap finished in conversion varnish, no weight relief. Compound radius Ebony fretboard, custom wound mini hums, Kluson tuners and yes that border is done in individual maple tiles.

That.....is intensely cool....
For the record, I prefer rift sawn tops...
But the binding motif is....off...the...chain...!

That is sweet! Understated beauty.
Any idea of the number of maple squares?

Thanks guys. I didn't count all the little maple tiles but I would guess around 300 or so.
