What’s good y’all.

I’m 21 years old, been playing guitar since I was around 10. Always been a fan of the blues and classic rock (Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and SRV being some of my favorites).

A Les Paul had always been my dream guitar, just about all my guitar idols have had them. But, being a broke kid, it was just a dream…until now!

It’s a brand spankin new 2022 Les Paul Tribute in a Honey burst finish. I had been eyeing the tribute line for years as it was something I could see myself being able to afford and I did research quite a bit before purchasing. Lots of people love them, some don’t think they’re worth the price. Personally, I couldn’t be more happy. It plays and sounds loads better than the Epi’s I’ve played in music stores.

I had planned on getting the Cherry finish but it didn’t play good whatsoever and the neck was slightly thicker and not to my liking. The Iced Tea LP tribute they had played super good but I wasn’t much of a fan of the finish. I asked the guy at the store if they had any Honey Burst tributes in the back and he looked, they didn’t but they did have one left at their warehouse across the city. He went and snagged it for me, brought it back and I Instantly fell in love, it played just as good if not better than the Iced Tea tribute that I liked and damn. the top is SO gorgeous. I personally like the satin finish more than glossy, its more comfortable in my hands and has that vintage vibe to it.

Anyway, that’s the story on my new axe! Lemme know what y’all think of the tribute line and lets see your collection of LP's!

Very nice, Congrats!

Looks like you have a nice Super Champ X2 as well, 15w Tube Amp with Effects. Awesome!
Thanks man

Good eye! I’ve had it for around 7 years. It’s a beast of an amp, can get some really sweet sounds through it.

I’ve been considering slapping some better tubes and a different speaker in it tho!

You could always get a little 1x12 cabinet and set that on top of it. Unplug the 10" speaker and go out to the 1x12. A closed back will give you more thump I think, but just get a cheap 1x12 cabinet from Craigs List and then put a 12" Eminence Governor 16ohm speaker in it. Your amp says it goes out to 8ohm minimum, so a 16ohm would be good.

fan freaking tastic

welcome to the cult…
you got a beauty…love plain tops

the only advice I would give is never sell…I sold my first one in the early 90s and still regret it…not because it was a special model or valuable…but it would be valuable to me as my first lester…

u may have others u will sell but I would keep the first proper les paul…

so happy u joined the cult…id break into skynyrd simple man for a warmup on that beauty right now

I love the tribute line. I would rather have a tribute than almost any other USA Les Paul. I love the thin finish and light weight. (I’m an R9 player, if that matters).

BAD FREAKIN' ASS :p :p :p

CONGRATS. What a sweet intro into the L.P. World. Such a classic.

I have to second what my boy, @Christosterone says: don't EVER trade/sell your first Lester. I did mine, and like Chris, I still regret it.

ENJOY in health and happiness

@cherrysunburst00 ive missed you

I’m very glad to have ur voice back on MLP…
