:hmm:

Unless I'm mistaken Shifty, don't you help out quite a bit of people who are trying to buy Epi's and aren't sure if it's a real or a fake one? Don't you also have quite a bit of firsthand knowledge on the MIJ single cutaway brands such as Tokai?

Dude...you really are one of the people who makes this forum "go"....

On a serious note...

OK, I've talked some smack. Some other people have too. Some people are wondering :wtf: is going on with the forums.

Well....I sorta posted this thread to sort of say "Hey, you know...isn't this what this place is really all about?"

-----

Thanks, you make me blush, man!
Ah well, I was keeding, anyways. :laugh2:

You know what the funny thing is, all I know about fakes, I know from this forum.
Also, without this forum I would have never bought a Tokai guitar.
I have have learned so many things from other members experiences. This is truly a great place. Before I found MLP, I couldn't even imagine to be a part of an online forum. :D

I pretty much like everyone here, a few I don't really connect with, but that is usually just politically or on faith issues.... but even then I really like the peeps on here..

the drama does get really flowing at times, and there are times when I blow my top and can't believe what I am reading, times I let my anger speak instead of relaxing and being civil, or times I just laugh and laugh, like at Cookies posts, or Boles, or Mobprob or Phil.. BB's tough side with threads, but at the same time his willingness to explain why and to be as fair as possible, Flicks love for old school metal , Romans incredible luthier knowledge , BoBo's insane posts that stir up the pot everytime, Stranger in NY direct and to the point, Geochemist our scientific smart guy, Djwilbanks the rev with passion, Nicole our resident expirimental slave with an incredible heart, Bass Chick just plain nice all around, Tommythunder our NFL punk man, The Sentry a man of knowledge and goodwill, Jason don't know alot about you yet, but always kind of funny, Jeff Farkas the bunny man with a great heart, Coldsteal our resident met everyone famous from the 80's metal scene guy, Shifty the Epiphone all knowing guitar master! River our knowledgeable passionate guitar man with a huge love for music, axe the freakiest avatar on the site , Led Zep fan the guy I get my news from, and many others, we are a huge mixed bag and a great family, atleast on line.. I am glad I know you all....

v8ko, your band rocks and you seem like a friendly dude. :thumb:

shifty, you seem like a nice guy. You just never say anything controversial, so you blend in a bit. :laugh2:

blake, your guitar pickin' skills are only outmatched by your compassion for others. Regardless of our differences in beliefs, I think we share many of the same values and you are very good about considering the feelings of others.

Thanks, Jason. You're a great guy, too. :thumb:

Well, I keep out of most debates, that's true. The problem is, although you might not believe me, the language. It happened quite a few times that I was in the middle of answering to a thread and then decided not to do so, because I couldn't just express what I wanted to say the way I would say it in German.
I'm a person that normally pays much attention to how I say things, especially when debating things. There are very fine nuances you can give to a sentence, depending on how you structure it. One misplaced or forgotten coma or a wrong chosen word (sometimes due to not knowing better) can make all the difference. I'm able to see those nuances when I read others posts but I feel that I'm sometimes not able to implement them in my own posts.
Maybe, if I tried more often, I'd realize that it's not that bad at all. Who knows. ;)

EDIT: Almost forgot. Then there are cases where I don't post anything controversial because it would actually be too controversial. :naughty::D

Yes! Give this forum two GIANT thumbs up!:thumb::thumb: Everyone, here rocks, EVERYONE! There is so much to learn and pass around. Knowledge is everywhere. And I know it's in by the bucketloads (yes I said bucket ) here! It's basically impossible to individually thank you all. So I'll just post some smilies as a "thank you"!:dude::thumb::band::slash:

Leumas, you're probably one of the coolest dudes on this forum, mayn.

BTW: Where's my tracking number for my Leumas award? :dude:

:laugh2::laugh2: Thanks Sentry! Like I said before, you and Gunner were the first two to really help me out here...I dig people who think before they speak. As for the Leumas award, Vasco controls the comings and goings of that, I merely provided the tomfoolery leading up to it.

Leumas is a silly bitch. I love you, man! You've got one of the best avatars now too.. :laugh2:

I love you too man! It's getting real bromantic around here. I'm digging the bucket onslaught lately. I think you and I did the exact same shit as kids, judging by your references!

Like I said, everyone makes this place cool. Even the guy I unloaded on the worst in this place is now my friend, and I respect him tremendously. Pretty outstanding as far as public forums go.

Gibay, you are a crazy kid! I swear you must have the metabolism of a hummingbird, judging by the way you bounce off the walls... but as long as you can keep yourself from going TOOOO crazy, I think you'll be all right. When you're able to fully harness that energy and put it 100% into something constructive, I'm sure the results are/will be nothing short of amazing.

Sentry,

You gotta do a lot more off-beat things before a Leumas award comes your way. Leumas was THE Man who inspired the award, and is a shining example to the rest of us. He took his award with such good grace also. Top Man!

Usually that's the grape soda.:laugh2: Jason, you have made some absolute hilarious posts that keep me laughing and I've read some good info you've given. I don't have much info to share, unfortunately. But that's why I'm here. To learn. Jason, MLP would be a waaaaayyy different place without you in the crowd.:)

I like so many members for different reasons.

River, helps me out but really gets me thinking with a lot of his posts. Very wise man. :thumb: Why isn't he a VIP? :hmm:

Splattle, a fellow Aussie and just knows soooooo much about amps and just playing in general. A great guy and another wise dude.

Young Gibbbbaaaaayyy. You are just a little gentleman mate. You make me laugh and remind me what it was like to be a young bloke.

Jason, well Jas, you just crack me up. I have  many a time at work reading your posts. :thumb:

So many others that have been great to me too. B-squared, Revblues, Overdriver, Captcool, Jonesy, Hillbilly, Dice and more.

I really enjoy the sense of community here and that people are prepared to help others. I have learned a hell of a lot from so many of you.

Thank you all very much. :thumb:

I really enjoy MLP. Some of that is due to the interactions that we have amongst so many diverse people. There's a ton to learn around here and everyone adds their own contributions to create such an interesting and knowledgeable group of music and guitar lovers/experts.

Thanks!

I have never felt like I fit in well with this forum, I am not a music person, I like to listen to it, but I have no musical talent and I could honestly care less about guitars......but after being here for a while, I have made some great friends and you guys are a great group of people, I haven't been as happy other places online, even on sites that cater specifically to my interests.....I always end up coming back here. Many of you have been a positive influence on me, and many of you I hope to actually meet in the future. I hope I have had a positive impact on someone here as well.

Pinkbits! The man with the dirtiest name on here. :naughty: You just seem like the type of dude I'd like to hang out with... drink some Aussie beers and crank out some sloppy rock 'n' roll through some Marshalls. :dude:

Nicole, you're very respectful of everyone here... you've definitely got a pretty unique perspective... I think you've helped a lot of people on here not be so scared of the "trans" concept. It's unfortunate that such connections would have been unlikely in the "real world", but such is the state of humanity right now. You're very well-respected on here. You've got a really blunt way of saying things sometimes, while managing not to be rude. I appreciate you being around here. :thumb:

Geetarguy, thanks for sharing all the cool music and just being a decent guy in general... oh, and being so modest. :D

im_bored, thanks for not being as annoying as your username would suggest. :laugh2:
