It's currently 00:28 and the results from my leaving certificate exams that I sat in June will be out at 9am. I can't sleep now.
Some of you will remember the thread I had started months ago about these exams, For those that don't know these exams are based on 7 subjects and your top 6 scores are added in point form. The total time taken to sit the exams is 40+ hours including projects and writing. The highest achievable is 600 points and I'm hoping to be in the 450+ range. I sat exams for English, Irish(gaelic), Maths, German, Art, Business Studies and Biology. I took the honors level paper for all except Maths.

So if you do all ordinary level subjects, 600 points isnt your potential maximum its 360. So 6 A1′s at ordinary level is the equivalent of 6 C3′s at higher level.
Depending on the subject, it might be a lot harder to get a C3 at higher level than an A1 in ordinary level, so if youre thinking of dropping down to ordinary level, make sure to look at both papers and compare the two it might be easier to pass a higher level paper than it is to get an A in an ordinary paper, especially if youre not used to the structure / past exam questions of an ordinary level paper.
