In the mid of 2015 I’ve bought my first Epiphone. While ordering I already had in mind returning it, prejudices ran through my mind...but when it arrived I was overwhelmed! It’s a beautiful instrument that sound and plays perfectly. There’s really nothing I would change!

Here’s a nice vid I’ve recorded. That thing sounds inspiring!

Semi-hollow Epiphone's have always represented a very good value.
The "Dot", "Sheraton", "Casino", "Wildcat", "Joe Pass Emperor" are all "best buys" for the money.

Some benefit form a pickup change depending on usage.

Bought my Epi ES-339 (HB) in natural shortly after they hit the market, and I agree with you. Really nice guitars in every way. I think the semis is where Epi really shines.

BTW, nice playing.

Had the same guitar exactly. Great guitar for sure.:thumb: Only had it for a month or so because my good buddy was looking for one. He's in a wheelchair so the smaller body works for him. Also nice playing indeed.

A good Epi sounds like a Gibson and plays like a Gibson.

No brainer IMHO.

Nice playing and quality video. :thumb:

I have to double-check the 335 every time I play it.
What a Wonderful guitar
If only it were available in Walnut with a trapeze tailpiece and witch hat knobs

My Epiphone ES-335 Pro is also a great guitar. Not great for an Epiphone, but great... period. It’s bone stock (well, except for a knob swap to gold reflectors and some nickel pointers)... and it really makes me wonder how much even greater it could be with a hardware upgrade and some quality boutique PAFs. Someday. :)

Anyway, Epiphone really knows how to do semi-hollow and hollow bodies. I’ve had (and still have a couple) Epi LP models, which have always been good leaning towards excellent. But their forte really is in the semi & hollow realm, IMO.

My 2002 epi dot started de-laminating at the output jack. Its split about 2" north and 1.5" south of the jack and a good half inch wide.
My favorite playing and sounding guitar and now it moves to retirement as I find a suitable replacement.

Disheartening to say the least.

When I decided to try a semi-hollow guitar, It was a no brainer. I went for Epiphone.
And a 339 for the size.

Congrats for your Epi and playing.
