Who can hlp me date my Les Paul? I thought it was a '66 but someone told me it could be a '58 due to the CTS potentiometers.
Anyone interested please contact me.

There were no Les Pauls in 66.

Based on the mini humbuckers and inlays, it appears to be a late 60s early 70s Les Paul.

Looks like somewhere between 1970 - 1975 based on being 6 digits starting with an 8

Can we see a pic of the headstock front and back?

Looks like a 74-75 from what I can see so far.

I'll see that 69, and raise you to 74!

If the serial number is original, likely a 1973 or 1974. Check the numbers on your other pots.

Maybe you oughtta post this in the Norlin section too. This would fall into that era.

What is the Norlin section?
This section is dedicated to the era when Gibson was owned by a parent company called Norlin primarily in the 1970's. Your guitar is from this era - "Deluxe" model, headstock shape, type of brown back finish, serial number, mini humbuckers, appearance of the gold finish are all indicators of this.

The number on the pots you have shown is just a Gibson part #.

We need a number embossing that starts with 137

So the pot is from 1969. That does not guarantee the guitar is a '69, but does help to narrow it down some.
Nice example of an early Deluxe.

Please let me know if a number is missing due to the tin welding.
I see 1376934 mess..
Yup 1969 week 34 i believe.... so it could have been installed as late as mid 1970.
