hello!

I own a 2008 Alpine Les paul studio, gold hardware. Beautiful guitar. However, there's some weird problems in regard to the finish:
when i first got the guitar, on the edge around where my arms rests, these tiny little bubbles and brown marks appeared. Now the area where my arm rests is slightly pinkish, which seems more like arm wear...what is the other thing.
Also, on the neck, two random blue dots appeared...what?
Last, in the area between the pickups, and between the edge of the guitar (when holding it upright, the left side, where the guitar curves in) a little blue splotch appeared just randomly, and i never touch that part of the guitar. I rubbed it down with my microfiber cloth, and now it is very faint, but there.

I don't especially mind these, as I love the guitar - but why?

Because it's white nitro.

Don't touch it, much less play it, and it'll be fine.

Too bad, white studio are the best imo............ other than my SG !!!!

I would just forget about it, give it a PERSONALITY.

Look familiar?

In my case, it's from a black leather strap I used to have. The dye must've bled. Fortunately mine's on the back so it doesn't matter that much.

I wouldn't bank on it. Gibson excludes this from its warranty as "Normal wear and tear".

Pics would help

it's so light that it takes a careful look with your eye to see it. I don't care at all really, as long as the guitar sounds good, gives it character i guess! i actualy like the pinkish wear where my arm rests!
But from the posts, guessing its just a alpine nitro problem!

Play the hell out of it, whatever happens happens. Make your guitar stand out, make it unique. Over time you'll care less of the cosmetic flaws and embrace it. Make it your own, show it's battle scars. Intentional or not, show them and display them proudly. This has many flaws cosmetically, but I love it to death. It's not pretty, but to me it's the most beautiful guitar I have because it's special to me. Guitar to me is much more than a hunk of wood an electronics (even though that's basically what it is...) I'm passionate about it. Even if I come off as a creepy idiot. Just embrace the flaws.
