Restoring the gold top was, IMO, a great choice, as the existing top was never attractive and aged to become ugly. I hope the rear PU has been squared, as the installation there, at least as pictured, was a hack job. That is an amazing guitar with all kinds of attractive aspects, and fixing the really unfortunate elements should allow the basic instrument to emerge spectacularly!

Here is the PU cavity after painting. He says it's wonderful now.

I have it ! I played an hour and am very happy. It sounds fantastic...and plays so perfect I am ecstatic.

It's very special...the tone!

I'll post some better photos when I have time. Eventually I'll video it.

I am in the middle of my sister moving into our house, so have been swamped. This weekend I will take some good photos....the ones I posted a few weeks ago, above are from the Luthier and they are smallish maybe phone photos.---PAGE 6--- I will be more thorough.
