I recently wired my LP 50s style with a new RS Guitarworks Upgrade kit, 500K pots all around, but now my neck pup (only) becomes extremely muddy when I start to turn the volume down. What could be causing this? Is it possible I fried the volume pot/tone cap? :hmm:

I would get a hold of Billy over at RS (Hillbilly here at MLP) since you got the kit from them and maybe he can help you get it sorted out.

If the wiring isn't jacked or something...

Put a .047mfd in series with R pickup's hot lead.

From what I hear its a grounding issue... can't seem to find the touching wires though. I used the wiring example in the Luxe pamphlet that came with the caps, so I wouldn't think that the actual schematic is an issue
