Kicked off in grand style today.

MM93 provided about 90% of the drama/action.

After producing a miracle save at Turn 4 and then staging an unbelievable comeback to P3, Marquez suffered a vicious highside with four laps of the race to go. The eight-time World Champion was immediately taken to the medical centre and it was later confirmed by MotoGP™ Traumatology Specialist Dr Mir that he’d suffered a fractured humerus in the crash.

“Marc Marquez has suffered an injury, it seems, from a direct impact of the tyre to the right arm, resulting in a fracture to the shaft of the humerus, a complete fracture although it isn’t completely displaced, with some possible paralysis of the radial nerve, although we’re not certain. This injury has been immobilised here for when they decide to move him to Barcelona to carry out a definitive treatment.”

I am so glad Fabio finally got his win, it was well deserved and long time coming. I wouldn't have been mad if Vinales, Dovi or even Miller ended up winning, but I really wanted Fabio to finally get his win.

As to MM, never one to say fuck it, I was piss-mazed he clawed his way back to 3rd but knowing how fucking crazy he is, in his desire to win it or bin it, well....here ya go.

It also shows that I think the Honda this year still isn't sorted. It doesn't look stable at all, not in turns. Some slo-mo replays yesterday and Friday clearly shows that bike is flexing and bucking a lot and often MM has to really square off the corners to get it to make it thru. Fastest and most powerful bike it may be, but if you have to wring it's neck to get it to turn, coupled with a maniac at the helm who is overriding it to make up spaces, the crashes are inevitable. Look at Cal. He's struggled as well but he's not overriding the issues to make it to the line. He might miss next race as well now that he has a wrist injury too.

Vale says he also had a mechanical issue, wonder what it was. He was clearly struggling from early on, guess the soft/soft didn't work out, and I'm actually amazed VInales made it till the end with them, you could see he also had some issues.

The track was a mess with the afternoon heat. JM43 said on Friday it would be a race of survival. He seemed to nail it.

So, Rins, Crutchlow, and Marquez are all questionable, at best for next week. That is a pretty heavy hit to the Top 10.

well, seems as though his holiness will attempt to ride on Saturday-

Taking a big unnecessary risk IMHO, he could end up worse off than just 41 points down on his closest rival (Dovi) If that bike chucks him again (as lets face it, the Honda isn't stable at all and MM tends to override it to get the performance out of it which puts him in danger of repeating what he did last sunday when he's riding like a fucking maniac) he'll injure it worse.

All the blatant (even from Italian media) gushing and hype about him and how MM NOT competing this weekend somehow cheapens the championship. To those I say fuck off. Anythign can happen. Even in a full 19 race season, you could get majorly hurt the first race and then you're fucked if you can't compete and lose too many points. But since golden fuck boy ceeded 25 points to a shortened championship, that's somehow shit luck and oh too bad so sad for him? It's racing. Anything can happen. Did the media immediately chime in 2010 when Rossi broke his leg in Mugello and hinted Lorenzo's first title that year was 'cheapened'? Why all this glowing gushing over the top dick sucking of MM by the media? We know how good he is. We don't need that repeated ad nauseam in the media.

And I have never said MM has no skills and didn't deserve or earn his titles. What I have issue with him is he has made Motogp boring as fuck. At least in the 800 era you had only 4 'winners' but still at least it was a 1-4 chance vs. the same person winning each and every weekend.

I used to really like GPONe's articles but this one just really ticked me off

They have the audacity to shit on Hayden's 2006 title in the same 'diminished' verbiage they are citing with MM being out of this race (granted this article was written before he opted to try to come back this weekend). I'm amazed they take this stance with MM considering they are Italian and Rossi is and will always be the greatest rider of all time. I don't care how many more titles MM will probably win, he's a fucking irritating irascible prick with charisma of a turd. As to Hayden's 2006 title being luck, no. He did it with consistency and he knew he had to go all in on the last race, which he did. Maybe that extra tad bit of pressure coupled with a shit start from Rossi got to his head and he broke concentration. I still say had Rossi won in 2006 I would have been happy but you cannot say that Hayden was gifted that title. It's racing, anything can happen, and even still, Hayden had to finish the race P3 or better and he did, so sorry Italian media, it's legit....deal with it.

So I guess the whiners about a 'diminished title' will get their wish, they better pray MM has the sense to not override it and make his injury worse.

He's out of action. Tried some laps in FP3, didn't do horrible then a 10 lap stint in FP4, didn't even complete a lap in Q1 and immediately pulled into the pits and went to the trailer. You know he's sore a s fuck.....and will be for some time the bit of riding he did today, he probably needs to make sure he didn't compress the nerve as it's bound to induce some swelling. Totally unnecessary IMHO for him to even attempt it, should have just rested for Brno.

Quatarao on pole again!

He looked really done when he got off the bike. I wonder when Alex is going to turn a decent lap?

Well, that was interesting. Rossi on the podium, in fact...Yamaha only on the podium. WTH is wrong with Alex M?

I think AM73 has done an admirable job; in the points for his first two Moto GP races, inside the top 10 for this one. Even with super difficult conditions.

Moto 2 wasn't the most exciting race, but I loved the podium finishers. Great cool down lap by Maru and Bezz, too.
