I haven't had a MIL officially for 16 years (divorce), but I still consider her family. She was always pretty good to me, and she IS my kids' grandmother. My current mate of 15 years Mom has been equally decent to me. I guess I really lucked out. I do feel your pain, though, as there have been other members of family whom were always throwing a wrench or two into our f'n business...

My ex MIL had to be involved in all of our decisions.
Originally we (ex wife & I) were going to elope, the ex told her about this.
She immediately planned a church wedding, and continually interfered
with our affairs.
Nice lady, but needs to learn her boundaries.
