Thats the old drummer trick to get out of
heavy lifting, they spend one to two hours
setting up and tearing down as an excuse
so they dont have to help carry in amps and
pa equipment and carry it out.
"i have to do this just right so i dont mess my drums up"
Dude............YOU BEAT ON THEM FOR HOURS what are
you talking about

I am awear of that trick also..
But this dude had a kit that would make even Neil Pert jealous......
4 bass kick drums,W/ triggers for each,Roto toms out the a$$, and it was all mounted on a Gebralter cage thing, with cymbles hanging by chains and all kinds of s**t..
It was impressive to say the least..He even had a freakin' GONG..:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:
Did he need it all?........Hell NO
But by Damned he brought it every practice..........WTF...

That was the band called "Kataklism" I was in for a while..
Some Slayer meets Megadeth kinda Wanking.........
When they wanted to do "The Three Little Pigs" by Green (Jello) Later Jelly..That was it, I had enough....
At first I thought it was a Joke,
But when I showed up and they had been working on it I said F**K NO... SEE YA........:laugh2:

Four kick drums, thats just nuts,
all that even at rehearsal? man what
a pain in the butt.
Ive played with a couple of drummers that had
giganto drum sets, kind of was a real pain on small
stages, really never used even 1/3RD of the stuff they
set up, more to impress people i think.
Kind of like owning a Lamborghini, but having a Volkswagen
engine in it hahah

I Can play some,Just dont care for the "GRIND THE PI$$ OUT OF ONE NOTE" thing..........then throw in a couple of power chord slides and repeat.....:laugh2:

I Like the melodic metal.....Megadeth,Pantera,and I like Slpiknot.(I'll have to go to church for that one):D:D Just joking......
But I also like Rock, and classic rock as well............Anything melodic...(And sings to ya when you listen to it).....Like Boston for example....:dude:
Guitar harmonies reach inside my ear and grabs my brain,so everything else is blocked out..........100% attention is on those harmonies at that moment in time.....:D

People that have to stop at mid song and pull out the tuner to re-tune
because a string is 1/2 step off...So its re-tune time..
Instead of just tweekin' it on the fly and keep going........
I have left alot of Jam's because this pisses me off..........

Or the dude thats 1 hour late cuz he was trying to score some weed...........
And gives you this lame ass excuse..
" I cant play unless I'm faded,I get into it better".........................

Ditto on all of those!!
specialy the last two

Worst guitarist phrases:

-"It needs to be louder."

-"Can I borrow your guitar and pedals again? Mine's in pawn/ repair shop/ ebay."

-At a gig: "I left my guitar at home. Can you ask your buddy who was nice enough to let our brand new band open for them if I can borrow his $2k PRS?"

- "I know we've only been together three months and played one open mic but we need to get in the studio and lay down some tracks!"

-"My line 6 will drop any Marshall."

-"I borrowed your guitar. So I changed the strings, set it up, cleaned it and removed all those crappy old stickers you had on it. It sounds like crap so you can have it back."

-"I have perfect pitch so you're tuner must be broken."

-To the bassist: "Can you play more notes like me? Your parts are boring. Actually just play what I'm playing, all 32nd notes all the time."
