The Twins, named for the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, used to be the Washington Senators before they relocated in 1962.
Correct. I'm old enough to remember that. Although I'm a life-long YANKEES fan, Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew and Tony Oliva were some of my favorite players when I was a kid.

And if you really want to go back, the minor-league St Paul Saints relocated to Chicago in 1900 and became known as the White Sox.
