I find it funny how people inspect things with a microscope to see if there is anything they can interpret as being racist, sexist, political, ect...

however, I watched the commercial and to be honest, I do think there was supposed to be some underlying racist message/dark humor in there. the emphasis on black people being in the commercial is strange and really makes no sense for any other reason.

on the other hand, if there were no black people in the commercial, just white we would hear complaining about that so who cares.

The woman, that ends up with the beer, asian?
Or of eurasian, descent?

I made a comment about the movie White Chicks to a young friend of mine. I asked why white face was ok but black face wasn't.

He said that I was showing my age. He said that younger people understand that blacks have been oppressed so them doing white face was acceptable.

I told him that the truth IMHO was that they were justifying their bias and in their minds that made it OK. If one is OK then both are, and visa-versa.

I’m so glad I grew up when I did and got to see the Civil Rights Movement and also got to enjoy all kinds of music and times with my white, black and Puerto Rican friends. Yeah we’d give each other crap within our group, but the friendships were colorblind.

it seems like Japan and parts of Latin America are the last places where genders act "Normal."

I actually was talking with someone this evening about dating (I don't really date anymore), and he asked why and I said part of it is that all the Women I seem to meet dress and act like Men,..that's not really attractive to me.

Maybe in a year or two depending on how things go I'm debating moving down South and seeing if the Women are any better, different, and more Feminine.

Honestly the "modern American metropolitan female" I find kind of gross. Too much like a dude. I'm not attracted to dudes.

My point is if something someone says offends you then it's on you, not the person who said it. He didn't give offense, you took offense.

I've pretty much stopped watching or paying to mainstream news outside that which will impact financial markets....and even then much salt is involved. I saw a billboard on the highway last year , that was the epitome of racial inclusion

it was an advert for a family going on a vacation . The father was white . the wife was Asian . 1 black child . 1 Hispanic . and 1 Asian . I thought that this picture displayed a very bad message
