Mono?

So, I've got mono

I had to take the whole year off school, because, missing more than two weeks, I'd end up failing all of my courses, and, I don't want to fuck up my average. Apparently this shit takes long to go away?

What I'm worried about most, is, can I still see my girlfriend? I can't go weeks without seeing her, but, I don't want to make her sick...

Anybody else have mono, now, or in the past? I can't believe I'm getting this shit at 17

I've already started my classes, and, I can only miss a certain number of classes before I get a failing grade, and, all the notes, lectures, etc... I called them today, and, they said the best thing to do was miss this semester, but I AM going back, definitely, in September!

As for the beer, everybody kicks back once in a while, right?

I caught mono, actually our whole band caught
mono sharing a canteen of wine from a hitchhiker
chick we picked up
I caught it at age 20 so it was more dangerous than
when you get it as a kid

I thought I had mono once. Turns out I was just really bored.


Seriously. Feel better man, mono is the suck for real. My white blood cells do this weird thing where I am apparently immune to mono, but one of my friends had it out senior year and didn't tell anyone.

it's infectious mononucleosis and it affects your motivation, energy levels and whatnot. It also can cause fever, sore throats, liver damage, and lymphadnopothy (enlarged lymphnodes) among other things. It's usually contracted by sharing food or beverages. However, for a while it was thought the only way it could be contracted was kissing which lead to the term "the kissing disease." So it's kinda an "upstairs" thing.
