Could anyone in the know let me know if these two vid's are correct? I'm pretty sure they are as chappers is an awesome guitarist, but just to be sure!

Essentially that's correct, (in that none of it was wrong :lol: ) - he's relating each mode to a "parent" major scale. But if you want to get beyond a basic level of understanding modes you'll need to move on fairly quickly from that to just dealing with the modes as existing in their own right, independant from any "parent". In particular you'll want to get beyond playing over just a drone, and onto some chord progressions.
