Does anyone know how the current headstock shape on les pauls/sgs came to be post norlin? I know that on my sg with a "50s" neck, the headstock shape looks rather close to a 1960 LP Classic my friend used to have-closer to a 59 shape. My 2017 classic is the same as my previous studios were. With the horns protruding in equal length to the "open" book part of the headstock. Anybody notice this? Is it just to differentiate a modern Gibson product?
