My Gibson came with card stating the model number.

Does anyone know how to decipher the model number ?

Mine says LP5+HSNH. I know it's a 50's style neck LP, in Heritage Cherry Sunburst with nickel hardware, but what's with the + sign?

Thanks

The LP5 is 50s neck. (I have an LP6 which is 60s).
I think you're guesses on the other stuff are pretty close. Not sure on the + but I think it has something to do with the top.
