MLP is costing me a fortune. Thanks to the folks here for turning me onto a lot of great music. I have enough in my eclectic iTunes library to never have to listen to the radio ever again. I've always loved buying music - started with records, then CDs, now downloads. iTunes and Amazon are kind of like going to a record store without having to leave home.

It's still not as cool as going to an old fashioned record store and looking through stacks and stacks of albums. The days when you could walk out of a used record store with a dozen records and still have enough money to get some beer, and go home.

What have been some of your favorite "finds" of the past year?

My fav "find" for this year was probably Ten Years After Space In Time. I have been listening to them for maybe 2 years now, but only had a greatest hits cd. my friend gave me Space in Time on vinyl. its a great album

Govt Mule Shout is pretty high on the list too

There has been a lot of rare footage of artists I know on here. Not so many new artists. I have been introduced to the late Kevin Ayers though, fantastic stuff.

I'm still hung up on Appetite for Destruction. I can't get past Slash and his revolutionary blues flavored guitar playing.

Joking aside get spotify. I haven't bought any music since. It's like $10 a month and unlimited streaming anything and everything. Then it recommends shit to you, I've found lots of good music. Totally worth it.

There are two reasons why you should get Spotify:

- The audio streaming quality is much improved
- You can download playlists to your mobile devices
- No ads

...

Ok, three, there are three reasons why you should get Spotify...

I got a copy when this came out. It's great stuff, but I'm a huge Humble Pie fan. Performance: Rockin' The Fillmore is still one of my favorite live albums.

I don't pick up on too much new, but I do pick up on some. Not necessarily new, but new to me

It is pretty much all jazz and classical on the radio for me, unless I can get near a college station. I like some chill electronica, too.
