Hi Guys, just picked this up this morning (Ebay £37) and seeing your discussing MIJ PRS copies just wondered if anyone has seen this Encore copy before, It's solid wood and set neck and the fret board is exceptional, possibly not MIJ but maybe MIK, difficult to tell but I have searched the net with no success, the only other clue is it came with a Canadian hard case. It's heavy and feels quality rather than the usual Encore gear.
Grateful for any info

Don't the PRS S2 models have a carved top?

I believe they're USA made & price wise sit between the Annapolis made models & the SE models

I would checkout Carvin's CT series. Custom order, great quality and very similar look to a PRS.

The S2's have a beveled top, I have a S2C22-SH,

carved tops of my CE and McCarty

I still like mine a lot, however I have since gotten 2 core models, a NOS 2013 Korina McCarty with Brazilian board and an 05 CE 24, the S2 was the most expensive at $1600 shipped, the McCarty ran me $1450, and the 05 CE 24 $1050.....all 3 are fantastic but the core models do have a major edge looks wise and a noteworthy edge tone wise, over fit, finish and playability are stellar across all 3.
