Thanks jeffrey.

Can anyone refresh me on Burny FLG-RLG + Orville, OBG pickups used ?
Having never owned examples of either, I'm unclear on their pickup histories.

Orvilles: MIJ replica PAF pickups - manufactured by ?
OBG: Gibson pickups. But which ones ?

RLG 1985 + newer : VH-1, earlier RLG's : L-8001, 1990's RLG's: Gotoh, FLGs: ???
Does this hold true for all FLG-RLG models ?
It sounds like a case of different pickups at each of the different factories contracted to build these. Y/N?

Thanks.

Regarding Burny's: quite different from what you wrote, you can find which model had which pickup in the catalogs, it's all there

Here is what Bacchus says about their pickups that are in the Classic BLP-STD-H Series

BHV-A5 (Neck)
Magnet: Alnico 5
Wire: # 42 enameled
Number of turns: 5,300
Resistance: 8.5kΩ

BHH (Bridge)
Magnet Ferrite Wire: # 43 Polyurethane
Number of turns: 7200 inner bobbin, bobbin outer 7300
Resistance: 14.7kΩ

For what it's worth, here's a pic.

Thanks for the pic Gammy.

Bacchus builds great LP's, but I'm not confident in their specs, until we get a a reading that is in line with their reported 14.7k Bridge measurement.

For the most part, 14.7k winds are too hot to produce good cleans (unless combined with ceramic magnets)

I think Wulfman's BLS-120 8.19k neck, 8.17k bridge measurements are more in line with how they sound.

Anyone supplying pickup data is asked to include the pickup type, where many different types were used, like Burny. Catalogs are in Japanese. :)

Thanks

anyone got a reading on a Burny P90 that wasn't 7.56K?
I have 4 (3 from the 70s,1 from 90s)... all read the same... all look the same too.
grey wire,silver baseplate,black plastic bobbin top ...
no idea if this was intentional but the coil tape on the the FTV-45 is brown (so is the guitar) on the FTV-80 it's yellow (so is the guitar)

I think they are, Wulf or VintageJim may be able to confirm that for me.

Very informative G!bson pickup chart, Space
Been awhile since I've browsed rowbinet info. Thanks

Oh yeah, the pups you got from Andy. Looking forward to it.

If ceramic, you should get a high ohm reading or over range, instead of the 0 ohms you'll get on ferrous Alnico 2-5, 7+8 magnet bars.

The newer Bacchus pickups are indeed alnico neck, ceramic bridge and measure in those ranges. A nice combo IMO.
