Too bad you just want les paul. Tons of interesting mij stuff that would look cool on the walls of a Japanese restaurant.

I'd suggest Yamaha. They can usually be picked up for a song. Maybe a Joodee ? Aria Pro II ? If they will never be played and are just for decoration you have many possibilities really.

Mansfield Goldtop with bolt-on neck.
It has a "plywood" body but the wall won't notice!

P.S.: Sake bar doesn't bring images of guitars on the wall for me.
A Rock Bar would do that for me.
What would be your potential customers take on this?

Well, they will be played as I'm happy to offer an amplug for my customer.

And yes they can be sold if a customer wants one, despite I don't expect to earn from that.

Just one of thousands of ideas to make my bar interesting :D

I definitely want to see some photos of the finished bar with them on the wall!

Sounds cool. I'd think Epiphone Japan, Greco as you mention, Burny and Edwards. Plenty of mid range options in the price bracket you're looking at.

I'd think about drunken damage, fire, theft, etc. Maybe put up the 300-400 range like some super powers, edwards (you can still get them at this range with patience) etc. If going higher end, consider display cases, rope, and insurance

And set some ground rules like no stairway.

How about a Geisha Massage Parlor alcove?
